Honeywell Humidifier — All You Need To Know

People use humidifiers in their houses to relieve them of the physical discomforts caused by dry air. During winters, relative humidity inside the average house is around 15% and the heating can really dry out your house making things uncomfortable. Honeywell’s humidifier solves this problem by humidifying the air in your whole-house and providing a more comfortable living environment. In addition, since humidified air feels warmer, you can turn down your thermostat for energy savings.

Honeywell Humidifiers – The Design And Features

Honeywell humidifiers are constructed of comfortably designed tanks that are easy to clean and refill. The optimal humidity level is regulated by an inbuilt adjustable humidistat. The humidifier also includes an auto-shutoff which turns off the humidifier when the tank runs out of water. As an icing to the cake, some humidifier units have a special dispenser cup in which you can add medication or fragrances.

Honeywell produces two types of air humidifier - Warm Mist and Cool Mist.

  -  Cool Mist Humidifiers

Cool Mist Humidifiers are based on the time tested technology of using a filter to trap minerals and impurities followed by blowing a cool invisible mist. They include evaporative humidifiers, impeller humidifiers, and ultrasonic humidifiers.
A cool mist humidifier is very easy to clean – you can get your six year old to clean it for you! In addition, the cool mist makes is a lot easier to breathe and makes the room extremely comfortable (especially in warmer climates)
The only minor concerns with a cool mist humidifier are that is slightly noisier than warm mist units due to the fan noise and can feel slightly cool and clammy at certain room temperatures

  -  Warm Mist Humidifiers

Warm Mist Humidifiers include steam humidifiers and vaporizers and produce a warm, soothing mist that can be extremely beneficial if you are suffering from a cold or flu. It is also a lot less noisier than cool mist humidifiers (although they do produce a boiling noise). Most of the war mist models today include a cup to disperse fragrances and inhalants and the mist produced by theses units tends to be cleaner than that produced by cool mist humidifiers.
Like most other humidifiers, warm mist humidifiers also require frequent cleaning. They can get a little more difficult to clean compared to cold mist humidifiers and on an average cover a smaller area than cool mist humidifiers.
